This Recycled Beer Bottle Temple is amazing and really inspirational.
Astonishing work of recycled art and puts all those boring modern building to shame, if more people particularly architects was as talented and artist as the Thai monks that built this building the world would be a more beautiful and greener place to live.

The Thai monks from Wat Pa Maha Chedi Kaew complex in the north-east of Thailand, built this Temple from Recycled Beer Bottles by cleaning up the local area and having the local people take there beer bottles to the temple to be recycled as part of the building.

Even the toilets and crematorium is made from empty beer bottles. Over 1.5 million beer bottles was used to create every floor, wall, column and archway in the temple by the Buddhist monks
and they intend to carry on expanding the temple and further building from the local authority’s disused beer bottles. One of the monks was quoted as saying ” the more bottles we get, there more buildings we make”
The temple was started in 1984 and even the mosaics around the temple are made from bottle cap.

very impressive use of the bottles. its amazing what you can do with a bit of time and a creative mind
